Photography has been both John's passion and profession for the past 38 years. He has a B.A. degree in Art from San Jose State University and has been awarded both the Master of Photography and Photographic Craftsman degrees from the Professional Photographers of America. In 1997 John began pursuing digital images in his work. John's current works have evolved from his travels in the Mediterranean. Capturing the basic beauty of the land and enhancing its drama is what he enjoys best. WHAT IS A MASTER PHOTOGRAPHER?

The Master of Photography degree is the highest honor granted by the Professional Photographers of America. It shouts loudly and clearly, here is a superior workman. In the tradition of the fine European artist whose work had to be selected by the jury of the salon, John Paulson is proud to be one of the few to have earned the degree Master of Photography. He has written many articles that have been published in photographic journals. John is recognized as an expert in the field.

With proven talent comes the obligation to share. Lecturing is part of John Paulson's responsibility. John has lectured from East to West Coast, sharing both in the U.S. and in Canada. Only after faithfully sharing talent time and time again is a photographer granted the degree of Photographic Craftsman. John Paulson is proud to be both Master Photographer and Photographic Craftsman.
