About John Paulson

John Paulson has won over twenty national awards for his photographs, giving him the title of Master Photographer, Craftsman.  He has operated his own business since 1981 and has spoken to professional photographers throughout the United States and in Canada.  Among his list of distinguished subjects are Bill Cosby, Jerry Lewis, Ron Brown, Ronnie Lott, and California governors George Deukmejian and Pete Wilson.  His photographic coverage includes commercial, portraits, and company events.


WHAT IS A MASTER PHOTOGRAPHER?

The Master of Photography degree is the highest honor granted by the Professional Photographers of America. It shouts loudly and clearly, here is a superior workman. In the tradition of the fine European artist whose work had to be selected by the jury of the salon, John Paulson is proud to be one of the few to have earned the degree. He has been awarded Commercial Photographer of the Year in 1999 and 2000. John's photographs received first place commercial awards in 2001 and 2004 for the Professional Photographers of the Greater Bay Area. John is recognized as an expert in his field.

With proven talent comes the obligation to share. Lecturing is part of John Paulson's responsibility. John has lectured from east to west coast, sharing both in the U.S. and in Canada. He is in demand as a photography instructor. Only after faithfully sharing talent time and time again is a photographer granted the degree of Photographic Craftsman. John Paulson is proud to be both Master Photographer and Photographic Craftsman.
